Last weekend, i met up with 9 past Outing Club members, (Dave, Tyler and Janelle, Chris and Fiath, Adam Bush, Val, Dave, Adam Neff, and Brady the dog). We met West Virginia, on top of Spruce knob mountain, which is the darkest place in West Virginia (aka, has the least amount of light polution). We did a shuttle hike, hiking 12 miles down to the cars in the span of two days (11 miles on saturday, 1/2- 1 mile on sunday morning). It was probably the easiest hike i've ever done with my outing club friends, because usually things are extreme. I'm glad it wasn't extreme, because it was the first hike i had done since my surgery. It wasn't too cold, about 25 degrees at night, and i got to try out my new sleeping pad and sleeping bag that i got for Christmas, both of which are awesome! So, that being said, i had a very enjoyable weekend, i got to see old friends, my car smelled like dog for a couple days (eww) and i was very tired when i got back to school!
